Nico Strott

Managing Partner

Nico is Managing Partner at THRONSBERG, where he advises our clients and executives across the private capital and portfolio company sectors. He is responsible for our long-term relationships, represents THRONSBERG both internally and externally, and drives our evolution into the leading executive search boutique for private capital.

Nico holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and also studied Business Administration at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. He is currently continuing his professional development at the European Business School (EBS) in Oestrich-Winkel to become a certified systemic coach.

He began his career in 2013 as an analyst at Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main, initially working in Group Strategy on various international projects in the areas of strategy, M&A, and transformation. Following his promotion to Associate in 2016 and later to Vice President, Nico focused on Corporate M&A. In this role, he achieved significant success in divesting assets as part of the group’s restructuring efforts.

In October 2018, Nico transitioned into private equity, joining the investment team at Beyond Capital Partners, where he most recently served as Investment Director. He supported the management in investment decisions, strategic positioning, and the operational development of portfolio companies. During his active time in private equity, Nico successfully executed a wide range of transactions across the business services, healthcare, consumer, and TMT sectors.

Nico joined the team at THRONSBERG—our family-owned firm—in September 2025. He also serves in various supervisory and advisory board functions and was a board member of a community foundation in Frankfurt am Main for several years.

Nico dedicates his free time to contemporary art, fine wine, hunting, his family, and his dachshund.
